Fancy learning more about the 11th century Dudley Castle in the heart of the zoological gardens?
Our after hours talks and tours, led by former Castle Keeper, Adrian Durkin, begin on Friday evening and there’s still time to sign up.
Each event will focus on a different theme, including Medieval and Tudor times, life during the Civil War, the great fire in 1750, missile weapons and firearms as well as Medieval food and cookery.
Zoo Manager, Matt Lewis, said: “Since we announced the events last month we’ve had a lot of interest from families, individuals and groups who want to learn more about the castle, without having to visit the zoo and we have released further dates due to popular demand.
“We’re looking forward to Friday night when we can discover all about Medieval Arms & Armour.”
Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for children aged eight to 15. A family ticket for two adults and two children is priced £10 and all funds will go towards the castle’s ongoing upkeep and restoration.
Pre-booking is required online or by calling 01384 215313.
