Calendar’s a hit!

It seems lots of people want to get their hands on a copy of next year’s stunning DZG calendar – and that’s why we’ve had to order more!

The zoo has had to go to a second print run of our 2016 calendar after the first order of 150 copies sold out.

The fundraising calendar features one of our black and white ruffed lemurs on the front cover and 12 other superb shots of a wide selection of our animals – all taken by talented amateur photographers.

DZG Sales Manager Isobel Blackwell said: “The calendar makes a great present which will remind people about our wonderful animals all year round.

“I think people who have bought them like the quality, the size and of course the price, as they are excellent value at £4.99.”

The zoo ran a competition to find impressive images for the calendar and the winning shots were picked out by DZG photographer Jason Skarratt.

Proceeds of the 2016 calendar sales will be given to Painted Dog Conservation in Zimbabwe – an organisation whose representatives visited DZG earlier this year to talk about its work saving endangered African dogs in the wild through action and education.

This year’s calendar raised an amazing £700 for charity 21st Century Tiger towards wild tiger conservation projects.

Got yours yet? With less than a month to go until the big day, it’s the perfect present that lasts all year!
