Black and white ruffed lemur Yoda got in a patriotic mood to mark St Georges Day – and his 13th birthday.
As well as flying the St Georges flag at the top of the 11th Century Dudley Castle, DZG Upper Primates keepers were raising the flag in our Monkey House to celebrate Yoda becoming a teenager.
Section Leader Pat Stevens said: Yoda is always up for joining in with anything new happening on site and took great interest in the St George flag we were putting up for his birthday today.
Zoo Director Derek Grove said: “The raising of the St George flag on April 23rd is part of a tradition at DZG and we are all very proud to see it fly from one of the Midlands’ best-loved landmarks.”
Happy St Georges Day everyone!
