A huge thanks to everyone who joined the bumper anniversary crowds at DZG yesterday – we had the best Bank Holiday visitor numbers for years and welcomed more than 6,500 people on site.
We certainly celebrated our 76th birthday in style and extended visitor hours until 7pm due to the crowds.
CEO Peter Suddock said: “We enjoyed a fantastic day yesterday with figures topping 6,500. We had queues snaking back up Castle Hill, we had to put on extra tills, the car parks were overflowing and we had run out of chips by midday and had to get in extra supplies.
“We have had a fabulous sunny Bank Holiday weekend and over the four-day (Fri-Mon) period have seen more than 12,000 visitors. A big thank you to everyone who visited, your support is much valued.”
