Our three Carpathian lynx didn’t waste any time getting stuck into their latest enrichment activity.
Keepers put Daisy, Dave and Dakota to the test by tying up meaty bones to the climbing frame of the indoor enclosure for the big cat trio to discover.
Senior Keeper Sam Grove, said: “By hanging the bones swinging from the frame the cats had to stretch from the pole to try and get the meaty treats.
“We like to vary the way we feed our cats and this method saw them climbing, stretching and leaping to get to the bone.
“Not only is it great enrichment as it stimulates natural behaviours, but it also exercises different muscles.
“We left the bones hanging throughout the night and the next morning all three mostly spent it sleeping, so they must have worn themselves out overnight!”
