Blown away by DZG!

Animal magic charmed a couple from Essex during a day out at DZG.

Rob and Kate Britten took part in a Be a Keeper experience and were blown away at having the chance to get up close and personal with some of the world’s rarest animals.

Kate purchased the experience for Rob’s birthday and the couple travelled all the way from Chelmsford to help feed our big cats, ungulates, primates and birds.

Kate said: “We had a fantastic day, although it was amazing to get so close with the animals, we were also wowed by the staff. They were so friendly and fun and when they were telling us about the animals you could tell it was out of pure love and enjoyment for what they did as what they were saying was so enthusiastic and not scripted at all!”

For cat lover Rob, his favourite part of the day was feeding snow leopards Nanga and Margaash – a slightly different experience to feeding their three cats at home! While meeting the chimps and tickling the tapirs were Kate’s highlights.

Kate added: “I have recommended Dudley Zoo to everyone, it was such good value for money compared to other zoos within the UK and I hope to do it again one day.

“Thanks to all your team, our day was definitely a tick off our bucket list.”
