Ellowes Hall student, 15-year-old Harry Lewis took time out to learn the lingo for Black Country Day (July 14) during a week’s work placement with DZG’s Media and Communications team. The Black Country flag will fly atop Dudley Castle, at the heart of the gardens, throughout the weekend and during Keeper For a Day experiences staff will be teaching non-locals a few useful words such as Owamya and Tara Fer Now. Safari Shop merchandise includes Black Country Anthem CDs, flags and badges and outreach workers and face painters will be joining festival celebrations in Stone Square, Dudley tomorrow afternoon.
