Birthday girl, Josie!

We’re wishing Rothschild’s giraffe, Josie, very many happy returns today as she celebrates her seventh birthday!

Senior Keeper, Jodie Dryden, served up an extra special breakfast for the birthday girl first thing this morning.

Jodie, pictured above, said: “We give the giraffes bamboo as a treat, so it was a perfect birthday breakfast for her – although she had to eat it quickly before Kito and Kubwa tried to butt in and get their share too!”

If you’re on site today, make sure you stop by the paddock for the 12.45pm talk and feed as there might be a rendition of Happy Birthday to join in with!
