Best hoof forward for tapirs!

It’s World Tapir Day and our three Brazilian tapirs have put their best foot forward to help us fundraise with their hoof prints being turned into keyrings.

Throughout today we’ll be raising awareness about the threats the endangered species face in the wild as well as the vital work of conservation project Lowland Tapir Conservation Initiative.

There’ll also be the chance to meet Chico, Meena and Luna by taking part in a raffle to win the close encounter at 3.30pm and they’ll be other fun fundraising games too!

Join Senior Keeper Sarah Evans outside the South American paddock throughout the day and come and listen to our additional keeper talk outside the enclosure at 2pm.
