More than 8,500 youngsters visited Santa’s Grotto last month confirming our first Christmas online-booking campaign a huge success!
Throughout a three-week period the 11th century castle grotto welcomed children and their families from across the country, most having pre-booked their meet and greet with Father Christmas via our website.
DZG? CEO ?Peter Suddock said: “It is the first time we have run an online booking system for the grotto and it worked immensely well, with figures up 1,000 on last year’s giving us our best ever numbers.”
He added:?”We were guided by feedback from the previous year and organised it so the majority of visitors had a prior booking and didn’t have to wait in a long queue to see Santa. “The beauty of online booking is that everyone has a clearly defined slot and it makes life so much easier when we there are thousands of excited children on site, and also makes it possible to advise random non-booked guests, too, of a predicted time. “The one aim we hold dear is that youngsters have adequate time with Santa and that it’s never a rushed visit, and we’re delighted to say it all worked very well. “Our Santas received fabulous reviews and the glow-in-the-dark show was a mega success, too. “We’re already working on ideas for 2014’s grotto so watch this space!”
