Beans means Grotto!

They’re growing fast! The magic beans planted by gardening staff just a few weeks ago have sprouted into a mini plant – and the leaves are getting bigger every day!

We’re all delighted as it will soon be countdown to our Jack and The Beanstalk-themed Santa’s Grotto in Dudley Castle and we need a mighty plant to show all our young visitors.

Gardener Anthony Gwilt is making sure the plant gets plenty of daylight and water, and Presenter Becky Iwahashi – pictured above – is measuring daily growth to ensure the stalk is sturdy enough for a giant to climb!

Santa’s Magical Winter Wonderland at DZG runs from December 5 to Christmas Eve and includes a magical train ride and show, plus a chance to see some of the rarest animals in the world – including meeting live reindeer in their festive hut in the shadow of the 11th century Dudley Castle.

So – watch this space, and don’t forget to book your place to see Santa in his Castle Grotto this Christmas!
