They’re growing fast! The magic beans planted by gardening staff just a few weeks ago have sprouted into a mini plant and the leaves are getting bigger every day!
We’re all delighted as it will soon be countdown to our Jack and The Beanstalk-themed Santa’s Grotto in Dudley Castle and we need a mighty plant to show all our young visitors.
Gardener Anthony Gwilt is making sure the plant gets plenty of daylight and water, and Presenter Becky Iwahashi pictured above is measuring daily growth to ensure the stalk is sturdy enough for a giant to climb!
Santa’s Magical Winter Wonderland at DZG runs from December 5 to Christmas Eve and includes a magical train ride and show, plus a chance to see some of the rarest animals in the world including meeting live reindeer in their festive hut in the shadow of the 11th century Dudley Castle.
So watch this space, and don’t forget to book your place to see Santa in his Castle Grotto this Christmas!
