BBC WM presenter, Caroline Martin, is set for a spooktacular charity challenge tonight at Dudley Castle.
And she’s hoping her scary overnighter in the Undercroft of the11th century castle will raise funds for the radio station’s Red Alert appeal for Cure Leukaemia
She said: “I jump at my own shadow so the prospect of spending a whole night in a castle that’s said to be one of the most haunted in Britain does not fill me with cheer, but I’m determined to do it.”
Caroline will learn about the colourful history of the castle from DZG Presenter Langan Turner before turning in for the night in a stone coffin in the former chapel.
DZG Head of Media and Communications, Jill Hitchman, said: “Caroline is very brave attempting to sleep in the coffin. “Hopefully, she won’t hear too many things that go bump in the night, and we wish her well, but it’s certainly an area of the castle where much paranormal activity has been identified throughout the decades.”
Tune into BBC WM 95.6 from 6am tomorrow to discover just what happened at Dudley Castle when Caroline chats to Pete Morgan@breakfast. Then catch the full story on Lunch with Caroline Martin from midday.
Caroline added: “I’d love YOUR help to raise funds for such a brilliant cause.”
Good luck, Caroline, you never know who’s out there . . .
