Marketing staff from various UK attractions congregated at Dudley Zoo for a seminar to share ideas and improve visitor experiences.
The British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA) meeting was hosted by DZG in the Queen Mary Restaurant earlier this week.
Marketing staff from attractions including Paignton Zoo, Colchester Zoo, Dreamland in Margate, Drusillas Park in Sussex and Paultons Park in Hampshire attended the full-day event.
Topics covered included membership schemes, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and DZG Zoo Director Derek Grove spoke about the success of our summer open-air cinema events in the castle courtyard.
DZG Marketing Manager Andrea Hales said: “We were delighted to host the meeting at Dudley and to discuss marketing ideas with other members of BALPPA.
“The twice-yearly meetings are a great way to network with people from different parts of the UK and the discussion on GDPR was particularly interesting. The seminar ended with everyone having chance to take a look around our zoo, which we hope they all enjoyed.”
BALPPA has over 300 members and represents the interests of the UK’s commercial leisure parks, piers, zoos, visitor attractions and family entertainment and indoor play centres.
