DZG’s reindeer hut is even more a home from home after being transformed into a tundra habitat.
Painter, Davy Turner from Kingswinford has worked his magic on the indoor walls of the new outdoor shelter and painted them to depict the herd’s native barren tundra landscape.
Section leader, Jay Haywood, said: “Davy kindly returned to help us out and freely gave up his time to paint the reindeer shelter in around six hours.
“It looks great and we’re very grateful for his help.”
Davy has already painted the inside of Meerkat Manor with a desert-themed mural and added a tropical rain forest theme to the new indoor accommodation of our critically-endangered Sulawesi crested macaques.
And he’s currently adding his colourful artwork to the indoor quarters of the gelada baboons.
Thanks for your time and help, Davy!
