Children from a Kingswinford Primary School had an eggs-citing day when they heard about the different animals species that hatch.
DZG Presenter Pam Midwood visited Bromley Hills Primary School with some of the Discovery Centre’s egg-emerging critters including a corn snake and giant thorny stick insects, to show the children it wasn’t just birds who lay eggs.
Pam also showed the pupils, who were aged five to seven-years-old, the different sizes of eggs that animals can lay, before they all met Echo the barn owl, who regularly features in the zoo’s Go Wild! Show.
Pam, pictured below, said: “The children were really interested to discover the different varieties of animals that hatch from eggs and they particularly enjoyed getting hands-on with some of the animals I had taken with me for them to meet.”
