An amazing opportunity

Nottinghamshire schoolboy Maxwell Webster was treated to a DZG Little Keeper for the Day experience as a Christmas present – and left with a day to remember.

The 10-year-old’s mum Caroline had researched zoo experiences before plumping for the one here at DZG and decided the package would offer Maxwell an amazing opportunity.

Maxwell, from Worksop, worked with a blue-tongued skink and fed Humboldt penguins during the day.

He learned all about how to care for and feed the creatures from Customer Services Team Member Robert Dickie, pictured below with Maxwell.

Mrs Webster said: “Maxwell thoroughly enjoyed the day and his favourite part was feeding the penguins.

“The experience was a Christmas present for him as we were looking for something a little different. 

“Kids have so much these days and what they need is new opportunities, so we were delighted that Maxwell had a day to remember.”
