Come and help us celebrate International Red panda day this weekend, when children can gain entry for just £1!
We’ll be shining the spotlight on our beautiful Tibetan two, Yasmin and Gawa, throughout Saturday and Sunday when visitors can find out more about this vulnerable species from our Presenters during a talk and feed at 2.15pm.
Find out more about 11 year-old Yasmin and one year-old Gawa, who joined us from Rotterdam Zoo two months ago and learn about the threats red pandas face in their native mountainous forests in the Himalayan region of East India.
Curator Richard Brown, said: “We’re proud to support International Red Panda Day as our red pandas are some of our most popular animals here at DZG and because of their red and fluffy appearance, it’s not difficult to see why.
“We hope people will visit us this weekend and take the opportunity to discover more about these fantastic creatures.”
As well as the additional talk, they’ll also be a red panda information display in the Discovery Centre where our younger visitors can take part in red panda mask making and crafts.
To gain the £1 child entry, visitors must download and print the voucher, by CLICKING HERE.
