An animal loving mother and daughter from the Black Country had a brilliant time when they became DZG keepers for the day!
Yvonne Bywater, from Coseley, treated her daughter Charlotte, from Tividale, to the unique experience for her birthday.
Yvonne said: “We are both massive animal lovers and Charlotte is a veterinary nurse so I knew it would be the perfect present.”
During their day the pair worked alongside keepers who introduced them to many of DZG’s animals including our Sumatran tiger, Daseep, who provided the highlight of their visit!
Yvonne added: “It was a brilliant day which we both enjoyed. The keepers were all very friendly and knowledgeable.
“Our favourite part was feeding the tiger, which was an unbelievable experience, closely followed by the lemurs in Lemur Wood as they were all so friendly and funny.
“I have many happy memories of visiting Dudley Zoo as a child and then bringing my children when they were small, but this was a brilliant day that I would recommend anyone to give a go.”
