Pupils from Blue Coat Academy in Walsall stepped back in time at DZG as part of their history GCSE coursework.
Students joined Presentation Assistant, Amy Hickman on a tour of the 11th century Dudley Castle at the heart of the zoological gardens as she explained the site’s rich history and pointed out key areas, including the visitor centre and undercroft.
The group were also able to test their fitness by climbing the 52 steps to the top of the castle before taking in the spectacular views across the borough.
