A diamond celebration!
Two DZG gardeners are celebrating after clocking up 60 years’ service between them.
Antony Gwilt has tended the site’s grounds for 35 years, while Paul Durber has reached his 25th continuous year of service today and both said it had “flown by”.
The pair were presented with vouchers and thanked for their green-fingered efforts by Zoo Director Derek Grove.
Derek said: “Antony and Paul have made such a huge contribution to the zoo over the years that this is our way of saying thank you.
“They form part of our longest serving department on site and work hard behind the scenes, in all weathers, to tend to the grounds and pathways and keep the 40-acres looking lovely for our visitors all year round.”
