A blooming lovely site!

The 40-acre hillside zoo site is looking blooming lovely for the first day of spring.

The gardening team have spent the last few months planting hundreds of new bulbs and plants and now the first daffodils and crocuses are starting to appear.

DZG Head Gardener, Carl Stevens, pictured above, said: “During autumn and winter we were busy cutting back overgrown areas, laying down new woodchip and planting borders and beds in readiness for spring and now we’re starting to see all our work pay off as the first flowers start opening.”
