Dudley Zoo staff have been on the airwaves this week, putting their brainpower to the test in a BBC radio quiz.

The Castle Hill attraction has fielded a top team in The Knowledge quiz on BBC WM every day this week with the final challenge taking place at 2.30pm tomorrow.

Team captain Amy Hickman, who is Chief Elf in Santa’s grotto, is taking part in the fun general knowledge quiz, hosted by presenters Sunny and Shay, on all four days.

Gavin Maybury, Team Leader from our Safari Gift Shop, took part on Monday and will be helping Amy again tomorrow. Shop worker Heather Pernell was Amy’s able assistant yesterday and will be on today’s show too.

Amy said: “As soon as I finish my elf duties in the grotto, I get my thinking cap on ready for the challenge.

“We’ve had some really tough questions, like what is the length of the Great Wall of China, but we’re not doing too badly and it’s all good fun during the festive season.”

Gavin, who is already looking forward to the final day of The Knowledge tomorrow, is also on hand to help visitors with some shopping tips.
