Be a KeeperBE A ZOO KEEPER

All the funds raised through our Be a Keeper schemes are used on conservation and animal projects selected by the Keepers themselves.

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a Zoo Keeper and get close to many exotic and endangered animals?

Well now you can for only £150

During this experience you will discover what goes on behind the scenes here at the Zoo and help the Keeper with their daily duties to feed, clean and care for a variety of furry and feathered friends.

The experience includes lunch, souvenir gift and one Guest admission ticket.

‘Keeper for a Day’ starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm

‘Keeper for a Day’ makes a great unusual Gift for friends, family and work colleagues or why not treat yourself to this unique experience?

The day is split into two sessions and you choose a different animal section for each one.

Option 1
Chimps, Orangutans, Lemurs & other small primates (min age 14yrs)

Option 2
Tigers, Lions & other cats (min age 16yrs)

Option 3
Giraffes, Tapirs & other hoofed animals (14yrs)

Option 4
Penguins, Owls, Flamingos and other Birds (min age 14yrs)

‘Little Zoo Keepers’
(8 - 13 years)
An all day experience for only £95 for one child or £170 for 2 children.
Help to feed, clean and care for the animals on the farm. Go behind the scenes to see how our Zoo works and meet some other animals like Giraffes, Tapirs and Lemurs!
Includes a goody bag and adult admission.

Quality HotelsDudley Zoological Gardens in partnership with local ‘The Quality Dudley’ is pleased to offer preferential room rates for ‘Be a Keeper’ visitors when they visit the Zoo to take part in the experience.

Take advantage of the Hotel’s convenient location just a short 10 minute walk from the Zoo entrance and extend your day’s visit into an overnight break. Discounted Zoo tickets are available for a second day visit or ask us about visiting other local attractions at reduced rates.
