We’ve been awarded a TripAdvisor 2016 Certificate of Excellence thanks to great feedback from visitors.
The award reflects consistent high ratings about DZG left on the TripAdvisor travel website and the news was met with a regal nod of acknowledgment from our stunning Sumatran male tiger, Joao.
Zoo Director, Derek Grove, said: “This accolade confirms what a great day out visitors have at DZG.
“We’ve had a great year and have continued to invest across the site with new exhibits and a boost to the animal collection with new species.
“Visitor numbers have also been on the increase, which demonstrates our ongoing popularity and we were delighted to have so many record-breaking months throughout the last 12 months, particularly August, which saw 65,000 people alone flock through the turnstiles.
“And with the zoo’s 80th anniversary next year we’ve got exciting new projects planned to mark our milestone, so there’ll be lots more to see.”
Whether you’re visiting to see our 1,500 strong exotic animal collection, the 11th century Dudley Castle which sits in the heart of the zoological gardens or our grade II listed Tectons, there’s always something new to discover at DZG!
