We’re saying a HUGE thank you to a generous Lichfield-based business, which has donated thousands of pounds’ worth of tools and equipment to DZG.
Newell Rubbermaid has been a keen supporter of DZG’s work for the past few years, regularly donating surplus stock for us to use in our day-to-day work.
Assistant Curator, Jay Haywood, who collected the donation from the company’s Fradley Park branch, said: “We’re always overwhelmed with how much they give us free of charge.
“This time we received an enormous load of equipment, including saws, bins, dustpan and brushes, pens, pencils, buckets and drill bits, which must add up to thousands of pounds.
“This is a substantial saving for us as we won’t need to buy any tools for quite a while, which means we can use the money elsewhere on site.
“We’ve distributed the equipment across all the zoo sections, where it will be well used and we’re grateful to them for thinking of us once again.”
