Every Donation Counts

Dudley Zoological Gardens has long been home to some of the world’s biggest, rarest and most exotic animals. Your donation will help support our vital conservation programmes and help pay for special animal treats, toys, bedding, health checks, food bills, heating and more.

We get involved in a large number of field conservation projects, which help protect threatened animals and habitats. These projects range from breeding programmes here at Dudley Zoo, to conserving species in the wild – such as lemurs in Madagascar.

The natural world needs our help, so we need yours.

Gift Aid provides a real opportunity to increase the value of your Donation. If you are a UK taxpayer we can increase the value of your support by claiming an extra 25p of every £1.00 you give us - all at no extra cost to you! This additional income is vital to us.

Here’s how your donation could make a difference:

• £5 – will buy suncream for the Tapirs
• £10 – will feed a Meerkat in mealworms for a week
• £20 – will buy pallets to create a bug hotel
• £100 - will buy climbing nets for the Monkeys

Dedicating a Memorial Bench

For a minimum donation of £250 you can dedicate a bench in memory of a special person. A bench can provide both the perfect way to remember a loved one and a place where you can come and visit with family and friends. We will add a personalised plaque to the bench with your own special message and send you a complimentary season pass so you can visit the Zoo over a 12 month period.

Donations in Lieu of Flowers

Many people choose to remember a loved one by asking for donations as an alternative to sending flowers to a funeral. We will be very happy to provide you with information about Dudley Zoological Gardens and will also gratefully acknowledge any donations received. You may decide to Adopt an Animal and have a Personalised Plaque displayed at the animal enclosure with your own chosen message.

Making a Larger Donation

You may have a larger donation in mind and would like to discuss this or have specific ideas on how you would like the money used. If you would like to speak to someone please do not hesitate to contact us.

Leave a Gift in Your Will

As the number of animals threatened with extinction increases dramatically, the role of the modern zoo becomes more important; some animals owe their very existence to the care provided by zoos. Through the support offered by our visitors we are able to continue to look after the many beautiful animals you meet here. Leaving a gift in your will to Dudley Zoological Gardens will make a difference for future generations so they can continue to enjoy the wonders of the natural world.

A solicitor can help you amend an existing will to include a gift and remember you do not pay any inheritance tax on any gifts to a charity.

Any size of gift will help us to continue our conservation work.
