With autumn on its way this week we’ve reverted to our shorter winter hours today.
We’re giving our animals an extra hour in bed as last entry is now 3pm, with the site closing 90 minutes later.
The zoo will still open from 10am and the reduced opening hours will remain in place until Easter next year.
However, the entrance may remain open until 4pm during the next few weekends if the weather stays fine.
Zoo Manager Matt Lewis said: “We always reduce the opening hours at this time of year as we have less visitors on site during late afternoon and it begins dropping dark very quickly, which is why we make sure all our animals are in for the night by 5pm.”
