Recycled hideaways

Our smallest Discovery Centre critters are finding new uses for empty festive chocolate and biscuit boxes.

As the leftover plastic tubs are being recycled into shelters for the likes of our snakes and lizards, including Kimber, our children’s python, pictured above, who slithered into her new home straight away!

Head of Education, Phil Turner, said: “We simply cut out an opening in the side of the tubs and they become great hideaways for our small animals and as they’re plastic they’re really convenient to clean too.”
