There’s one week to go until the big 8-0 and we’re looking forward to our celebrations!
There’s still time to sign up for Take a Walk on the Wild Side – a 5k walk around the zoo site, past some of the rarest animals in the world, in aid of our £800,000 appeal to build a new separate outdoor enclosure for our critically endangered Bornean orangutans.
Marketing Manager, Andrea Hales, said: “We’re encouraging all participants to get into the spirit of the occasion and don 1930’s clothing or fancy dress and join us as we go ape for our orangutans.
“We’ve got lots to celebrate and we hope lots of our supporters will join us for what promises to be a great day!”
Following the walk, we’ll be celebrating in the castle courtyard and welcoming vocal harmony singers, The Glamophones (pictured right) to DZG, who’ll be entertaining visitors with their retro performance and there’ll be birthday cake for everybody too!
To sign up for the fundraiser call 01384 215313 or sign up HERE.
Registration costs costs £6 per adult and £3 per child (3-15 years) which includes zoo admission. Up to four spectators per participant will be admitted at a discounted rate of £7 per person, which need to be purchased prior to the date.
If you can’t make our anniversary, why not consider donating to our appeal – you can simply text DZ0037 followed by the desired donation to 70070.
