The Stroke Association is holding its first ever Trick-or-treat abseil

Ghost TourFor thrill-seekers interested in doing something devilishly different for Halloween, The Stroke Association is holding its first ever Trick-or-treat abseil from the ghostly venue of Dudley Castle on 1st and 2nd November 2008. A rush of adrenaline is guaranteed for both novices and experienced abseilers alike, as the event will take place from midday until midnight, giving participants the chance to scale the flood-lit turret of Dudley Castle at night.

Robert Jinks, Regional Fundraising Manager in the West Midlands, explains, ‘Abseiling is a great opportunity to take a challenge, either on your own or as a team with colleagues, friends or family. You don’t need any previous experience of abseiling to take part as full instruction will be given by our professional, friendly instructors. Abseiling is a truly memorable experience! Your support will help us work towards a vision of a world with fewer strokes and where those affected by stroke get the help they need.

Registration for the Abseil is just £10.00 and participants need to raise a minimum of £75 in donations. Participants will receive a fundraising pack with ideas on how to help maximise fundraising efforts.

During each evening, abseilers and their guests can enjoy added attractions with a Ghost Walk around the Castle, Baron Dudley's Spooky Creature Show and our Creepy Crawly Corner! If you dare!

Places are strictly limited, so call the Abseil Hotline now on 01604 625 140 to register. Alternatively, you can email trickortreatabseil@stroke.org.uk for more information.
