Visitors are encouraged to earn their stripes and help us raise funds for tigers next weekend.
We’re counting down to Global Tiger Day on Saturday, July 29 when we’ll be raising awareness about the plight of tigers in the wild, with the help of our critically endangered Sumatran duo, Daseep and Joao.
And we’ll be raising funds for 21st Century Tiger, which supports conservation projects who are working to eliminate major threats to the stunning big cat species by holding a fundraising two days (29 – 30), where visitors can take part in a raffle to win a feed experience with six year-old Daseep and four year-old Joao.
As well as the raffle, which will be drawn at 3.30pm on both days, visitors can also transform themselves into tigers with the help of our face painters and we’ll also be selling tiger dress-up tails and ears to complete the makeover!
Plus visitors can find out more about tigers’ plight with an information stand and biofacts at the enclosure, while a talk will take place at 1.15pm and the tigers will be receiving enrichment throughout the weekend.
