APPRENTICE – ANIMAL WELFARE

We are looking to recruit an Apprentice within the Animal Welfare Department.

Candidates must be aged between 16-24 years and educated to Level C or above in Maths and English, but with no animal related qualifications.  However, previous experiences keeping animals would be advantageous.

The role is a full time position for a period of 12 months, and will include a level 2 Diploma in work based animal care.

Hours of work will be based on a five day working week including weekends and Bank Holidays.

TEAM LEADER – retail & admissions

Dudley Zoological Gardens are looking to recruit a Team Leader to work as part of our busy admissions and retail team.

Educated to a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English.  Previous retail supervisory experience is preferred and customer service and cash handling experience essential.

Some management experience of small teams would be preferable.

Most importantly the successful candidate will need to be highly motivated and enthusiastic, and have a passion for delivering good customer service.

Duties will cover a 5 day week on a rolling 7 day rota.

Successful candidates will be available to work regular weekends, weekdays and all bank holidays as required.

GENERAL OPERATIVE

Dudley Zoological Gardens, a leading Black Country visitor attraction, is looking to recruit a General Operative to join our maintenance and development team.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience in this type of role.

Key attributes will include good organisational skills, self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised.

A full driving licence is essential.

RECEPTIONIST/TELEPHONIST

Dudley Zoological Gardens, a leading Black Country visitor attraction is looking to recruit a Telephonist/Receptionist two days per week to provide support for our customer service and administration activities.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated well organised individual, with previous reception and admin. experience in a busy office environment.

Good attention to detail together with experience of Microsoft packages is essential.  Duties will be varied, to include taking incoming calls, processing telephone bookings, dealing with customers and data input.

Normal hours of work will be Monday & Tuesday 8.30am – 5.00pm; flexibility to work additional days to provide support during busy periods, provide holiday cover and working Bank Holidays is essential.
