There’s still time to book your bargain tickets for the Dudley borough’s St George’s Day celebrations at DZG.
The annual festival, run in conjunction with Dudley Council, is returning to the zoo for the second year running and we’re offering £2.50 tickets for residents to join us on site from 3pm until 7pm on St George’s Day – Sunday, April 23.
In the shadows of the England flag, which will be flying atop the 11th century Dudley Castle, we’ll be hosting a patriotic extravaganza with medieval re-enactors, dragons, children’s entertainers, crafts, story telling and stilt walkers.
There’ll also be extra talks and feeds at the penguin and sea lion enclosures and themed refreshments will be available to purchase in the Queen Mary restaurant.
Zoo Director, Derek Grove, said: “Hundreds of residents have already signed up and there are only a limited amount of tickets left, so we urge anyone interested to book now to avoid disappointment.”
The £2.50 tickets are only valid from 3pm. Children two and under are free.
Full-paying visitors on site before 3pm are welcome to join in the celebrations and there is no additional charge for zoo members.
