We’ve released further dates for our tours and talks of Dudley Castle as we raise funds to fund the ongoing upkeep of the 11th century scheduled ancient monument.
We’re offering people the chance to visit and learn all about the castle’s vast history, without having to visit the zoo, for the special price of just £4 per adult and £2 per child.
The family-friendly tours begin at 6.30pm, last approximately two hours and are complemented with a short lecture by former Castle Keeper, Adrian Durkin.
Each evening will be based on a different theme, with upcoming events including The English Civil War, Medieval Arms and Armour, plus Bows and Bangs – missile weapons and firearms.
Zoo Manager, Matt Lewis, said: “We’re running the events due to popular demand, as they offer people the chance to visit the castle without having to pay our regular zoo admission.
“So far we’ve run two of the evenings and were delighted to welcome so many people, who were keen to learn all about the castle’s history.”
Bookings must be made in advance by calling 01384 215313 or CLICKING HERE, where you can also see a list of forthcoming dates.
We recommend the tours for children aged eight plus and a family ticket (valid for two adults & 2 children) costs £10.
