A cut above!

DZG’s gardening team will be a cut above when it comes to taking care of the car park’s grass verges and banks – thanks to three new green machines.

The team has taken delivery of the trio of petrol-powered mulching mowers which will cope with the rough terrain of the car park’s grassy areas.

Head Gardener Carl Stevens said: “It’s important to us to keep all of the zoo’s gardens looking attractive and the banks, verges and green areas around our steel sculptures in the car park are no exception.

“The old mowers served us for 14 years but needed regular repairs so having more up-to-date and reliable machines will make the task easier for us.”

Mowing maintenance on the car park will begin at the end of March and take place twice a week in the spring and weekly in summer.
