27 year-old strimmers!

DZG’s gardeners have received two new strimmers – to replace their 27 year–old previous pair!

Gardener Anthony Gwilt, said: “We’ve certainly had our money’s worth but I don’t think we would have got another 12 months out of them, but they’ve served us really well! We’ll see if the two new strimmers last as long.”

Four members of the ground maintenance team are trained in using the powerful strimming equipment used to tidy the 40-acre site’s rugged grassy banks and they also train keepers to use the apparatus in enclosures too.
